Pretty place to walk and observe nature. Paths are well marked and to takes you through wooded areas, marsh land areas and out along the Intracoastal Waterway. There are picnic tables and porta potties for your use. It's also clean and patrolled frequently by area police on bicycles.
We go here ourselves, sometimes with the dog, sometimes with family or friends. It is a beautiful place to spend some time walking and seeing nature and the Intra Coastal Waterway.

We had no idea this place existed, but we will be back again for sure! It's a great hidden gem to see some nature and get close to the waterway. We found shell utopia! Vareen Gardens is a great place to walk, to see the Intercoastal Waterway, watch baby crabs crawling, walk your dog, and enjoy nature. The information plaques along the walkway add great information about the nature you are seeing. Nice place to walk in the shade on a hot, sunny day.
Be sure to bring a water bottle in the summer as it gets very hot. There is a nice mix of trails through the shaded areas and wooden walkways. Lots and lots of fiddler crabs!
There can't be a nicer place to walk around Myrtle Beach. There are boardwalks, picnic tables and gazebos. There are shady trails through the woods and signs identifying the plants and animals.
