My wife and I are always looking for interesting places to stop along our routes when riding our motorcycle. While planning a ride for the weekend, I ran across this place which is only about 25 minutes away from where we live. This was a really neat place to go and cool off. To all the other bikers out there-I... 更多
Went on a date here for part two of the date. Part one was a delicious meal from southern delights and more in downtown Landrum. There are plenty of park benches around, a nice cool creek, and the bridge itself is magnificent. It made for a very romantic date night, just be warned, the park closes at 9. :)
Not too many of these still exist in tact so enjoy it while it's here. There is a little park you can relax at with benches everywhere for a view.
I found this bridge to be very educational showing the way things were done in the early part of our southern heritage. I am glad it is being preserved although I am sure it will require extensive restoration at some point. Nice park and tables for an outing.
Very nice covered bridge, easy access to it, with a nice gravel parking lot. There is a public park here too, but no facilities like restrooms, but a play area for kids and there is a nice accessible area to the creek/river that flows under the bridge. Located south of Landrum, use Google maps to take you right to it.
This is a small site and a quick stop. But there are some picnic tables if you want to take a lunch there. I was glad to see Greenville Park and Rec is keeping up the place, but it looks like the bridge is in need of some restoration. Pretty area.
It's in a park-like setting and even has it's own parking lot (a rarity for covered bridges). The bridge is picturesque and very photogenic....and looks like it should be featured as a jigsaw puzzle picture. A young couple were there getting pre-wedding photos taken during our time there. I suppose it happens here a lot because the setting is really... 更多
if you are close by, visit, otherwise its not worth a long drive. it probably was a better attraction several years ago.
This is the last remaining covered bridge in South Carolina and it is beautiful! We stopped here on our way traveling on the scenic highway and I'm so glad that we did! Lots of picture taking opportunities and peaceful surroundings. Follow the signs and parking is free. Simply gorgeous.
