Several of us went to the market on a recent Tuesday, and what a disappointment it was! Not much there. Some homemade soaps, candles, salsa, and a few other baked goods. Only 1 table of produce, and it did not look to good, and was expensive. Won't return.
There are a couple of 'Farmers' Markets' on Hilton Head.
This review is about the one at Sea Pines Center on Tuesday.
It is not a Farmers' Market. It is the stores in the center selling outside with a few additional vendors. There was one table with produce which did not look very appealing.
The Sea Pines Farmers Market is on a smaller scale than most because it is located within a gallery of shops, but that makes it fun and unique. Stop by the produce stand for some tomatoes and peaches, then head into the jewelry store (Forsythe's) for some eye-feasting, pocket-book-stretching browsing. Back outside, try on a ribbon-knit belt, scarf or necklace...
We paid $6 to get into the part of the island to go to the market. It is not a farmers market. It's set in a lane between tourist shops. Only one vendor had produce which looked bought rather than from the farm. The rest of it was arts and crafts stuff or home made baked goods. Very disappointing.
