John, our tour guide, cheerfully took our party on a private tour on short notice. The tour was one of the best we have ever taken. John was an expert on Greenville history with photos and great stories. Very interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.
I took the "At the Chef's Table" culinary food tour, which combines tasting great food and learning about the history of downtown Greenville. The food and drinks from all the stops were excellent. The chefs were informative and you could tell they really love their work and helping people to enjoy good food. We went to places I would never... 更多
What an awesome fun experience this was. I highly recommend it for groups or just a couple looking for a gastronomic adventure. As a group, we walked to and ate at at numerous up-scale restaurants. It was a chance for the chef to show off so we had very different eating experiences. By the time the tour ended, we were... 更多
We've lived in Greenville since 1974 but we learned some new things on this tour. We had never heard of Chicora Women's School, which was on a hill in the west end for a brief time in the 1800's. We didn't know that Duke's Mayo started in the pavilion next to the river. The tour was fun, the company congenial.
We took the West End history tour and learned a lot about the history of Greenville. John shared a lot of historical pictures which made it extremely interesting. Definitely recommend this tour!
All the food stops were wonderful, but my favorite was probably at the Lazy Goat with the Vichysoise-style soup; fresh mussels, lobster, crab! It was a great evening, met some wonderful people, and John's tidbits about Greenville history were really neat to learn about! We were not always able to talk or meet with the chefs at each destination (seems... 更多
The Chef's Table food tour was so much fun. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Greenville and the food on the tour was fantastic! We will definitely do this tour again ... multiple times as we were informed the food is always different. Each place was also very accommodating to food allergies, preferences (e.g. there was a... 更多
This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Couldn't believe how much food was served! Also, it was very informative regarding the history of Greenville. I highly recommend this tour!!
My wife and I have lived in Greenville for 12 years and I worked downtown so we're somewhat familir with local history and cuisine. However, when our daughter gave us the Greenville History tour we were pleasantly surprised to learn some new things while sampling a variety of food from Table 301 restaurants. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.
We are living in Greenville and took this tour with our son visiting from Minneapolis. John Nolan is the group leader and gives a history tour as well as a culinary experience of the foodie town Greenville has become. For me the out of the box best tasting was Nose dive (NOT O SOMETHING ELSE). I have to admit the... 更多
