A friend and I visited this museum on a rainy day and enjoyed a couple of hours there. The exhibit is well curated and gave us insight into the history of the Greenville area - how settled, the textile industry, the history in the 20th century. Also there was an exhibit of Rolling Stone magazine's first photographer, with some compelling... 更多
This museum is limited in scope and size but visitors can learn alot of history through the displays and film. Employees at the entry desk were most kind when we returned after our visit and asked to walk through again because we had misplaced a cell phone.
The history of the Upstate comes alive in this wonderful museum. There are benches where you can rest along the way. We are lucky to have this site...a treasure to real Carolinians.
Been to several of the Neighborhood nights and they were a great experience for the whole family. We all learn more about the past and had an exhibit based on a children's books that really bring the books to life.
Loved checking out all the cool stuff in the history museum. Should check it out. Dr. Mac Arnold's Slide "Maggie Mae" Guitar is on display right now, then it will go to Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. Dr. Mac deserves all the recognition he can get.
I was surprised at how fabulous this place is. I went for a meeting, and could barely tear myself away from the displays. SO much interesting information and things to see.
We always want to know some history of the area visiting and this is an excellent place to find it. Great for a rainy day or hot weekend; or just to spend some time seeing how the city and area was founded.
We took a baby, a two year old and a three year old to this exhibit and I can't begin to tell you how interactive, colorful and hands on it was! What fun! The costumes to try on, the eggs to put in the baskets, the tornado you could make in a bottle are just a few of the fun... 更多
Thoroughly enjoyed this museum. The exhibits are small and the setting is intimate. Pocketful of Posies is on exhibit right now and features original artwork by nationally recognized fiber artist and author, Salley Mavor. And her work is nothing short of extraordinary! Could've spent another hour in there alone. The staff is very warm and greet you like they are... 更多
This wasn't on our itinerary as we only had a one night stop here on our road trip. But the park on the Reedy isn't much fun in a downpour. I wanted to see the Andrew Wyeth watercolours at the art gallery. This museum is on the same site and well thought out with a lot to see. Small entrance... 更多
