Need some local produce? Maybe some crafts? What about some music, or fun for the kids? The Saturday Market has it all. Also some nice sandwiches, tea, ice pops, and snacks. A great place to walk your dog and get the shopping done. The locals know this place well. Worst part is parking, as there are garages around, but some... 更多
We stayed across the street from Marion Square. The place really gets busy on Saturday morning when they have a farmer's market. There were so many booths filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. The peaches were huge and very flavorful. We ate breakfast there, choosing fresh fruits from the vendors. They also had clothing, children's activities and music. It was... 更多
this is a pretty boring park. there was a factor of some homeless people but they seemed harmless. nice columnar statue of Calhoun and a very unusual holocoust memorial worth viewing
Marion square is a beautiful place to be, especially on Saturday mornings during the farmers market... tons of local artists and treasures. From Marion square, you can choose to either walk down king street (for the shops) or meeting street to see central market and the battery. Good walking loop to take.
Nice park near the college with a large open area in the center and trees and benches for relaxing around the sides of the park. Nice to relax if you are near it, but probably not worth a special trip for the average tourist.
Marion square is a great place to go. Every Saturday they have a farmers market which is a great experience for local art food and a good brunch.
I'm possibly missing something, but this is nice city park with a large arts, crafts, flea market fair on Saturdays. I asked several locals if the fair is every Saturday, but got various answers--not sure. Other than that, it's a nice city park named for and recognizing Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox, of American Revolution Fame. If you ride the... 更多
This is the nicest spot in DT because it is open and green. Many events held here like farmers market, tree lighting and performers. Many let dogs run free in this area too. Watch for pic pocketers tho.
We walked by Marion Square several times during our stay in Charleston. On a regular day, it was nothing special. People did seem to be sitting around. It would be nicer when there are activities or events going on, I am sure. We greatly preferred the pretty waterfront park! There is a nice Walgreens store on the corner by Marion... 更多
We extending our stay to visit the Farmer's MArket Saturday morning at Maion Square. There was something for everyone and prices were more reasonable that at Market Square. We cancelled our breakfast plans at the bed and breakfast where we were staying to browse the items for sale. We met the gentlemen who manges the Farmer's Market and my daughter... 更多
