Stopped by during the week while Hermine was looping off the east coast. The wind turbine at the state building here was flying. The beach was quiet and protected. There are nice board walks and decks along the seawall here. The state building has a food stand and a covered pavilion with picnic tables. The beach is small and looks... 更多
Come early or late in the day. If you can't find a spot to park, go down the road to Wheeler State Beach then walk to this beach. This beach and Wheeler State Beach have calmer waters than Scarborough State Beach. No waves because of the breakwater. PROS: Watch the action at the harbor - boats and ferries come and... 更多
This beach was walking distance from our hotel and it was perfect. The water was great, some waves but not overwhelming. The beach was clean and cozy
Salty Brine is a really nice beach. It's definitely a smaller beach so plan to get there early! This beach caters to all ages but this is a family oriented/mature crowd beach, which is why I like it! I do wish they could put some hooks up in the family changing rooms-geez, did it really take a patron to figure... 更多
Small beach front, but surf safer for children, and easy walking distance to numerous restaurants in Galilee. Easily found parking after a rain storm. Enjoyed watching fishing boats and ferries pass by. Ice cream at adjacent Chaplins was fantastic.
We used to always go to this beach, because it seemed to be a bit of a hidden gem. However, my grandfather would get up at 6 am to get us a good spot and a good parking spot. Then they built a new pavilion, which took away many of the already limited parking spots, although did create beautiful new... 更多
It's not the prettiest RI state beach and the parking lot is small.... But, if you want excitement around this is a good location. Georges restaurant is right next store for clam cakes and chowder and live entertainment on Sunday Afternoons. Champins restaurant is also across the parking lot, so a short walk to have a delicious lobster roll on... 更多
state-run beach, paid parking small lot but additional nearby lots. not a wide beach from water to sand but connects to another state beach, scarborough. Tends to be very crowded in summer. convenient ice cream and eateries near by. nice sand.
We walked the wharf like area, looked at the boats in the distance and chatted with a few locals. It looks like the locals like to lay around on the beach here and eat, drink and read.
