I'm a Revolutionary War reenactor, so this site was high on my list during my trip to Rhode Island. The caretaker/tour guide Trish was awesome, and also a reenactor. Great collection of period furniture. If you are a photographer like me, you can take pics inside. Also visit the Gilbert Stuart birthplace which is nearby.
I have been visiting the Greene Homestead for the past 5 years, every time I visit they have vastly improved the look of the property. New parking area, recently cleared fields, roads reopened for the first time in two centuries!! Hiking trails, fishing, excellent and knowledgeable tour guides. Being a history teacher, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the Homestead. Nathanael was an important part of the American Revolution. The tour guide was informative and the home is well preserved.
