I first visited this as a child, has not changed but great to see again. It will not be for everyone but if you are a railroad fan or just appreciate great work it is for you. All handcrafted detail, a half hour well spent.
I first visited Roadside America when I was 6 years old and have been coming back periodically ever since. We took our daughters when they were small and we are now taking the grandkids. And every generation has loved it. This attraction was built by hand by one man and it was obviously a labor of love. It's a slice... 更多
There are too many things to begin to count. Everywhere you look there is amazing detail, from the fellow milking to the car with the flat tire. There are a lot of buttons that don't work--they're behind on some maintenance. But there was still so much that did work that we ran out of time long before we ran out... 更多
Ok, so this is a throwback to an earlier time and is not "sexy", but this attraction represents the culmination of one man's dream and hobby. It is fascinating to walk around and note all the detail. The brochure is informative so use it while touring it. Plan to spend an hour. We were glad that we stopped. There were... 更多
You should go see it if it's not out of your way, particularly if you are a railroading enthusiast. Interactive displays, but found a few inoperative. Overall impressive. Lights are turned down and a patriotic presentation with Christian overtones is performed. Christian inspired articles for sale besides usual gift shop wares. I was in and out in 30 minutes, but... 更多
I can't decide whether this hand crafted village that took 60 years of work is amazing or pathetic. The amount of patience and attention to detail required is astounding, but at the same time, this person spent his entire life...building a hand crafted village. Either way it's worth a 30 minute stop if you're on Interstate 78, especially since the... 更多
Went here on a rainy day with the kids. We all really enjoyed it. It was really amazing to see and do something different . You can go at your own pace and walk around the miniature village . I don't think real small children will enjoy it but my kids were 7 and 8 and had a great time.
It may not look like much from the outside, but step in and it will take your breath away. Once you have taken this amazing miniature world in, start walking around and hit every button as you run trolleys, trains, mills, playgrounds... This is what you dream of finding as a roadside attraction. A labor of love over decades, it's... 更多
We had heard about this attraction for years, so we went. It was amazing, so many tiny villages and things that move. Water features. It is truly magical. I loved the circus parade, but I really loved it all. What is so wonderful is, the family of Mr. Gieringer still own this attraction. Please go you won't be disappointed.
