On the coolest night and haven't beenom Heinz Hall for awhile took me by surprise. The beauty of the Hall itself took me by surprise of how the past and a future architecture design was blended. Unfortunately, I had a friend describe the production to me as extremely triggering in the amount of intense screaming and lights used. A beautiful venue and a great performance! It was a wonderful opportunity to see the orchestra (as well as the Pittsburgh Ballet School, solo performances, a bell choir, a huge chorus, and even Santa...) in one place at one time. A fun evening!
Saw a Pink Floyd cover band here back in September. It had been 30 years since coming to HH for anything. Acoustics were great. Atmosphere was regal and warm. I'll see more concerts there.
If you have the chance to attend anything here- do not stop, do not think just do it! Unquestionably one of the best examples of the golden age of architecture and robber barron money that built this charming city. Heinz, Mellon, Carnegie, Frick, they all left their mark here... spectacular
If you have the chance to hear the Pittsburgh Symphony play here, do it! There are also many other shows and performances held here. It is one of the most glamorous halls in the country.
