Simple, ideal for a summer get away or to visit friends fortunate enough to have secured a cabin in the woods. Black Moshannon State Park is a great place for hunting, summer fun and otherwise enjoying the nature of Central PA. Before you venture to Black Moshannon, please keep in mind this State park can receive snow early and late... 更多
Summer and fall hiking is beautiful. I recommend the Moss-Hanna and Bog Trails. In the Winter all types of terrain are available for cross country. The trails are broken in making it easier to ski. If you're looking for something easier, you can just ski on the lake once it freezes.
I've been here many times. Used to live in the area so I know 'Mo.' Winding roads, off roads, natural spring, creeks & wild life. Swimming, row boats, hunting camps. Picnicking, activities. Great place for outdoor fun.
This is nice state park, yes remote from the city since you'll need to climb about 8 miles of narrow and winding roads, but ounce on the top of the ridge, this state park is sure small, but nicelly located, staff is dedicated, well kept campground with a lot of possible activities for all the familiy,

The cabins are lovely with their full size refrigerators and bunk beds. Nice covered porch was the perfect place for breakfast on a drizzly morning. We took the... 更多
Black Moshannon State Park is a great place for a hike and swim. There was a place to rent kayaks to paddle around the smallish lake, but I didn't do that. The hiking trail wasn't very difficult, but filled with tons of gnats, at least in July.
