Very nice walk in the woods, and on the way several interpretive exhibits explain the history of the skirmish in which George Washington was involved. I recommend coming here after visiting Fort Necessity nearby, as it gives some context for you to appreciate the historic significance of this place. The trail itself is pretty easy and there is plenty of... 更多
We almost didn't go, because it was so hot the day we visited, but it was lovely & peaceful. A easy walk, w/ a couple of steep slopes. The nature is amazing.
Having read of the encounter at Jumonville Glen years ago it was a real treat to stand on the site where in fact the French and Indian War began. The hike down to the Glen is not for everybody. It was a hot day when we were there and we worked up quit a sweat coming back up the hill.... 更多
