I went with a friend. We did the tour of the 3 main rooms, and walked around the grounds. This a great place to spend a couple hours on a beautiful day - there's the history, and the beautiful views. I wouldn't necessarily have driven more than we did in order to see it (about 90 minutes) but if you... 更多
We have visited many, many historical houses, mansions, gardens, etc., and this was certainly at the bottom of our list. They only showed you part of the ground floor interior that included the great hall, library and sitting room, the grounds are nice but nothing compared to I.E. Dupont de nemours Mansion in Wilmington or Blithewood Mansion and Gardens in... 更多

I was very amazed of this amazing tower. It is absolutely gorgeous outside and inside. I was in July when lots of flowers were in blossom that made this place more charming. i would definitely recommend it to visit.
We were camped locally and read about Milford in the nearby Visitor Center. We toured Milford and discovered this wonderful house and garden of Gifford Pinchot, America's father of Conservation, friend of Theodore Roosevelt and first head of Forest Service. The home is beautifully kept and the outlying were worth the trip, also. A great spot that sits sit high on... 更多

We walked around the grounds and took pictures. We caught up with a school group that was just leaving. There was a park ranger with them, but... 更多

I came of age in Dingmans Ferry, Pa, right outside of Milford and this is my favorite area attraction! I recently revisited... Let me start by saying this is run by the US Forest Service, who emphasize conservation and the use of grounds. Makes sense because the historic location is not only a beautiful castle on a hill but was... 更多

An amazing place to visit, tour, walk around, or to simply sit in the shade and relax. Lots of history. Check out their website for a full list of their scheduled events.
Had never heard of this house prior to visiting, so had no expectations. Found grounds and house to be very interesting and informative. Probably not a great activity with small kids, though.
Thanks for your review! Agree the 1-hour tour is a bit tedious for children but there are other things to... 更多
