The battlefield is an open space which just recently attained National Historic Landmark status. Located in the borough of Malvern the battlefield is a great place to relax and think about what occurred there so many years ago. A short walk to the borough which is wonderful for shopping and some wonderful food (Christopher's, Anthony's, Buttery, Alba, etc.).
We stopped in to see the site and admire the history on a rainy afternoon. The site is very well maintained, especially given the scale of the operation managing it...kudos to their volunteers and associates. Great site for American Revolution buffs and should be seen in conjunction with the nearby Brandywine Battlefield and Valley Forge...a great tour of the 1777... 更多
Part of the park was taken up by a local carnival, but there appeared to be ample parking space. Lots of makers to explain the battlefield and a really nice booklet that goes into details of the battle.

I have lived in the area for years and had no idea that this site were here! I went out here with a friend one summer night. The site was a large field and a wooded area. It is a pretty area, but lacks good information or signage.
Remember Paoli! Unfortunately I don't think a lot of people do. Very nice township effort at commemoration of the massacre adjacent to their Memorial Park
Nice destination for an outing. Visit Paoli as well as the Brandywine battlefield. There are craft faire and reenact or special events very kid friendly, as battlefields go.
The Paoli massacre is not a battle one learns about in the general education about the Revolutionary War -- unless perhaps you live in the area. So, it was an unexpected surprise to find such a well-marked and detailed accounting of the sneak attack by the British on Major General "Mad" Anthony Wayne and his troops. A series of plaques... 更多
