This is flagged as a "to do" destination, but I would call it a "to eat" destination. They have hand made pretzels, the soft, chewy kind, made from sourdough. They are fantastic and it is a worth a trip out of your way to have one. The tour of how they are made is also interesting, but the real attraction... 更多
What a fun experience we had at the Julius Sturgis Pretzel factory! We even got certificates for being "pretzel twisters"!!! Great place for people of all ages, well except for infants & very young toddlers. The staff is very nice & infomative & the store has lots of yummy pretzels to purchase. We even got soft pretzels fresh & hot... 更多
Everyday, you learn something new and today it was about the history of pretzels. A 25 minute tour gave us the history of pretzels and of the Sturgis business. We even learned how to twist a pretzel. You can buy fresh soft pretzels or a variety of hard pretzels or memorabilia in their small store. The staff is knowledgeable and... 更多
So much fun to enter this building built in 1784, to take a tour of the factory, twist your own pretzel, or buy bags of pretzels, local candies, and fun t-shirts. You can buy two soft pretzels for less than $2!!! And when you are done, you can walk right out onto Main Street in the 'coolest little town" in... 更多
Went with family from Lancaster PA and had a great time! Great tour and history lesson. While we were waiting for our tour we ate fresh hot soft pretzels right from the oven . We learned how to make pretzels and received small bag of pretzels after tour.
This trip was a revisit to a place went to with my cousins about forty years ago when I was a teenager. It's still fun to go and learn how to twist a pretzel and how/why the pretzel was invented.
A bit of a distance from other shops on Main Street. Didn't take the tour but checked out the pictures and store. Store is very small and hard to look around when the line forms. Youth cashier, okay customer service but very robotic speech. Long wait for pretzels, zero communication from baker's to register. Pretzels warm but just okay.
