So many trains to see and walk through. They have been kept up real nicely and you can really feel like you are stepping back in time when going through these railway cars. You can even pretend to be the conductor and/or train engineer and sit in the driving seat of the engines. A few kods were there and wete... 更多
The Roundhouse is actually still in use, so you will be guided. Very nice example of railway engineering of yesteryear. Other attractions are the carriages and Post Office car and other intricate rail inspection equipment.
What an exciting place, to see the old red rattlers and Motor Rail which was my everyday vehicle to school, sitting there with all the rest of the great trains !
Great museum with lots of old railway engines and carriages well maintained and presented. Guided tour available at no extra cost. There is a functioning locomotive repair shop on site but you can only watch from a distance. Lots of memorabilia. It surprised us how much we enjoyed it. Kids will LOVE it.
Not far from town and reasonable pricing at $16 for a family of 4 , enthusiastic volunteers seem to be happy to show you around and answer any questions........ looking a bit run down but it's at not fault of anybody assisting there , all trains are open and you can go inside Doesn't seem to have card facilities or... 更多
Were greeted by Keith and Vince who where very informative. The model rail was fascinating (too big to take home with us though). We walked through the trains in the Round House while many reminisced about their childhood
History comes to life with a visit to the Roundhouse Museum. The volunteers who guide you through the museum know their history and help with information when wanted and leave you to explore as well. The fact that this roundhouse is still operational (half of the roundhouse is still being used for repairs) is amazing, and if you time your... 更多
The volunteers working at the museum were a delight to meet and talk too. They were older men and were so helpful answering questions and telling us about the history of the place without being pushy. They knew their stuff because they had worked at the museum or with trains in their younger days. They left us to explore the... 更多
What a intresting place im not really in to locomotives trains but this is very well worth the visit. The volunteers here are such passionate people and very very informative. They have about 8 or so carriages that have been restored and you can walk in them and have a look around . Very much recommend .
