Started this walk in Cawsand at around 11.30,had lunch at The Edgecombe Arms at Cremyll & then back to Cawsand by 15.50. A moderate walk with Spectacular views of Plymouth, Plymouth sound & beyond. Suitable for dogs, who only need to be on a lead for short sections.
Beautiful scenery with views of the coast along the way, walking through tunnels of trees in parts. Not particularly challenging; at the end you have a few options at Cremyll; you can take the bus back or you can take the ferry across to Plymouth and you could even take the boat from Plymouth back all the way to Kingsand.
But take water and walking boots best, not trainers. Dumped the car at Cremyll car park, took the hourly bus back to Crawsands (4 adults and 2 teenagers £6.20 total ticket cost), then walked the lovely walk. Stopped opposite Drakes Island for picnic. Great memories.

... but beautiful, very peaceful and picturesque. We were fortified by an excellent lunch in Kingsand at the end of our walk from Porthwrinkle, which must have helped make the walk seem easier, but it was great to be able to relax and fully enjoy the scenery. We will have to return to wxplre Mount Edgcumbe fully.
This is a fabulous walk, especially if the weather is good, stunning views to Drake's Island and the breakwater. Take your time, stroll through Mount Edgcumbe country park, pass the duck pond and up the hill to the Folly, take the lower path, through the wooded area, there are a few steep steps and it is a good incline but... 更多
I make this walk regularly because I find it so stimulating and therapeutic. The walk mainly follows the Southwest coastal path and takes you through the magnificent Mount Edgcumbe Park. There is a short area where the cliff path has fallen away and you are now directed to climb upwards and around this section creating a slightly more demanding walk... 更多
