My wife and I attended the 'Army Benevolent Fund' charity day, not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by a small band of ex-forces guys who made us most welcome and at ease from the very first moment ( thanks Hammy and Spanner). We were then introduced to axe and knife throwing ! The wife won !, then followed... 更多
A party of us turned up not really knowing what to expect and we ended up having one of the best nights we've had. We threw axes and lit fires, drunk tea and are sausages. Spanner & Hammy, our instructors were both really easy company. I'm ex forces myself and am not readily taken in by these sort of things... 更多
attended the RV at Easter,it was brilliant, staff so helpful, kids loved every second of it from fire lighting ,spoon carving and axe throwing to the readily available cafe for hot drinks and sitting by the communal fire. i would thoroughly endorse footsteps of discovery.
My wife and I are Cub Scout Leaders and so are interested in bushcraft activities especially anything we can adapt for our Cubs. Spanner and the team are ex-service men and women. They are friendly, hospitable, and very knowledable. They can handle any and all questions. We tried most things and enjoyed watching the faces of the younger visitors as... 更多
Myself and my two boys, aged 9 and 12, attended a charity open day. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The taster activities included axe throwing, trap setting, knife skills, fire lighting, rabbit preparation, and a manhunt. The day was marked a definite 10/10, with both boys wanting to return soon. Highly recommended
Have just spent 2 nights at Footsteps of Discovery with 7 and 8 year old children. We learnt basic fire lighting, played team building games, tree climbing, axe throwing, archery and even got to watch movies at night. Hammy and John were great instructors, making everyone feel very welcome and safe. A great experience and a great place for all... 更多
A great place to go and learn about the outdoors and bushcraft. Have been several times, once for a charity survival weekend and a few occasions for the Cornwall RV. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable and I challenge anyone to go there and not become more informed about the outdoors and bushcraft.
We have spent three years going down to see the lads at Footsteps, every professional, friendly and with high expectations of the students. They are a pleasure to be with and they take care of all catering!! We will be long standing visitors to Trenoweth Woods. If you want a reasonably priced, exciting, fulfilling survival experience for any age, give... 更多
