After spending many days on the beach try a walk down here. The air is really fresh and having a dip in fresh water makes a nice change. There is free parking and it is about a mile to the falls. Don't expect anything like Niagra but it is still worth a visit. The path in the main is quite... 更多
Lovely walk. First part is fairly flat but bit trickier to get to the falls. There is a high path bit you can make it not on the path by following the water. Some tricky parts. Recommend walking shoes. Food truck now in car park with a good selection of burgers and some pancakes. Had a bacon bap and their... 更多
I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't so busy... But it is a popular place and was heaving with dog walkers and families in this August afternoon. However once you get near the river you can escape the crowds by exploring the steep paths that run along it (and are too steep for pushchairs and very little... 更多
We visited and had an adventure. It's not easy to find this place. That perhaps is good as it deters those that are not keen enough, but some clearer signage from the main road would be beneficial. The car park is open and free, the toilets open (could do with some TLC mind) and Inkies Smokehouse was providing a great... 更多
This place is a little gem..it was my favourite place on my visit to Cornwall. Free parking, beautiful walks through the woodland , following the river and the gentle falls. Be careful underfoot due to tree roots, rocks etc...everything that makes this place so special. it was like going back in time.
Our little boys aged 5 and 4 loved exploring this place. There was loads of things for them to walk through, walk over, climb, jump off, balance on, duck under, throw, etc. I felt my inner child released as we balanced on a log over the steam and then jumped off. A fun way to spend a couple of hours.... 更多
Perhaps we'd expected more than was described, but we did get our hopes up when a local described a challenging walk which included fording streams and a tough climb while remarking that our footwear might not be up to the task (three of us in willies, me in shoes). The walk was far easier and fording the stream was accomplished... 更多
Beautiful forested walk along the river, which is shallow enough to get in and have a paddle. Kids loved it and we spent a couple of hours walking along the trail, clambering on stepping stones and jumping in shallow pools. With a 3 & 5yo we didn't make it far along the trail, but we didn't need to. Car park... 更多
