We went to the Caverns over the Februrary half term. The visit is self guided and after a very good briefing by the lady in the ticket office we were issued with hard hats and a torch. Inside the points of interest are numbered with an information board at each one. Both the teenagers and the adults in our families... 更多
The Caverns itself didn't have much to do within unless you're really interested in reading into history; this is a review for teens/early adults. On the other hand, the walks you can do outside are lovely! The enchanted walk was the better one as it was longer and had more to look at, such as: fairy statues, little fairy pot... 更多
A great place to visit, especially if the weather turns. Learn all about slate and mineral mining in Cornwall by walking through a gorgeous example from the 1800s. Underground lakes, good narrative, and even licensed for weddings! A warm welcome on arrival sets the scene for a very enjoyable and interesting hour.
This was an absolutely great interlude on a day out and about in Cornwall and all the better for not having been planned far in advance. We were greeted warmly and given a lot of information as well as hard hats and a torch. It was of great benefit to be a little out of season as I understand the... 更多
My friend decided to get married here! I can see why, it was absolutely beautiful with the underground pool, and the groomsmen set up 500 candles to make it even more beautiful. Access-wise, it obviously wasn't the easiest. I have no idea how the bride made it down the steps in those heels! I was wearing converse and nearly fell... 更多
This privately owned attraction is well worth a visit. We were met by the owner in the ticket office who was very good and explained the caverns very well to us The place us not too commercialised which is quite a change nowadays and for that reason has a great feel to it including its shop which is full of... 更多
Visited Carnglaze Caverns for the first time today and found the caverns to be really interesting and good to see all the different minerals that were mined in the surrounding areas. Also interesting to see where weddings take place but a shame that the bride has to wear a hard hat!! Went for the woodland walk after which was really... 更多
This old slate mine is well worth a visit. We visited at a quiet time which meant that we could take our time on a self-directed tour. All major features are well explained on sign boards along the way. Overall, an interesting expose of a slice of Cornish history.
The Caves we're amazing to see and well worth the money. Little plaques to read make it a very interesting experience. There is also an enchanted forest where you can take a nice walk around a circular path which was also really good!
