Fantastic house and gardens. We were there on a lovely Summer's day which shows the house and gardens at there best. Tour Guide John has really 'done his homework'and is a pleasure to listen to.The tour of the house lasts for 45 minutes. We could have listened to him for another hour or so! You are made most welcome. The house is... 更多
On this occasion just visited the gardens, although there are timed guided tours of the manor house as well. Lovely gardens, that have different sections, each with their own special charm. There is a DIY tea/coffee/biscuits with honesty box in the old barn. We sat and watched the house martins swoop overhead in the sunshine while a family member kitted... 更多
OK if you are not into Elzabethan Houses than it may not be quite as good as the title suggests but it is in a beautiful setting and IS well worth a visit. Been there a few times over the years and a spring Summer visit to tak in the gardens makes it even better.
This is well worth a visit a lovely little Manor dating back to 1480. The building and grounds are well looked after and the guide we had was very knowledgeable. Pretty building and grounds, highly recommended. NOTE: There is only a fee if you don't have NT membership. Food and drinks are basic just self service tea or coffee and... 更多
We also visited on 13th may and we found the guide very friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to answer all the questions people asked, we loved every moment there, beautiful manor and gardens, can't wait to go back.
Lovely house and gardens, informative guided tour of the house though the guide on our visit would benefit by being a bit more friendly and welcoming.
We arrived in the middle of a Garden Fair and a Thunderstorm - not a good combination. Gardens are good with some spectacular topiary hedge houses (not rain proof!) House (from the outside) is a very interesting mix of periods and styles - unfortunately there are only 3 tours of the House on Sunday and we were too late to... 更多
Fabulous manor and gardens. Very interesting indeed...The guided tour lasting approx 45mins was well worth it. Some very interesting facts about this very picturesque Nat Trust in a beautiful setting. Gardens very well maintained.
This is a lovely old house and church and garden, and we were lucky enough to have a tour by the man whose family have lived there for years. It was very informative and I would definitely recommend this property to visit.
We arrived late on Easter Monday. Unable to view the house unless on a guided tour. We walked around the gadens, only took 30 mins then inside the church. Quaint place, we'll visit again in the summer months gardens may be better
We visit at a couple of times a year because the gardens are always good to explore and the Manor has so much history & atmosphere. The guides who do the tours are good without exception and one learns some new facts each time! Well worth a visit, especially in nice weather. There is also a small church beside the... 更多
