Met up with friends for a birthday celebration and an overnight stay. First visit to Marlborough for a while - I'd forgotten what a gem of a place this is. The High Street is packed with top quality well known and one-off boutique stores, plus numerous coffee shops and dining options. Could easily spend a whole weekend just wandering around... 更多
Lovely original English small town. Lots of small shops and great old fashioned high street feel. Well attended pubs and other eating places and coffee shops. Markets on Wednesday and Saturdays on the high street. Can get busy at weekends and in summer. Parking can be a problem.
The width and length of the High Street is amazing. Some if the buildings are really old and steeped in history. We enjoyed a happy meander up and down the street.
Not sure what the best time to visit would be ...there are a couple of Market days which I missed...plenty of opportunity for taking tea or coffee:..loads of character but there were just too many cars around to fully appreciate the setting ... a good stop though if journeying through and you can find somewhere to park!!!...
Marlborough high street is blessed with plenty of car parking, easy access to a car park and a good selection of shops. The Jewell in the crown though is the quality of items for sale in the numerous charity shops. Plen of places to eat and drink. A good place for a day out.
Whilst on holiday in the area aranged to meet friends at this venue as it had been recommended to them. Staff where polite and attentive. Food ok.
Plenty to watch by strolling up and down this busy high start. On road parking for half an hour, or in Waitrose car park. Interesting range of shops.
