Hard to photograph in its entirety from the outside, but what you can get is beautiful. Since it is just down the street from the Capitol building and the Methodist church, it makes a good photo looking up at the Capitol. I just opened the front door on a Tuesday afternoon and went in. Door was unlocked and nobody in... 更多

Pass through the Holy Door of Mercy to enter this beautiful Cathedral on your way to pray or to attend Mass at noon on weekdays. Then, cross State Street, and take the elevator to the 12th floor of the Parking Deck for a panoramic view of the whole area. Beautiful!
very holy, very old church, beautiful and very clean. very quiet to do your prayers. located just down the street from the state capitol. great architecture.
This cathedral is just splendid in its architecture and visual appeal. The services are at convenient times and the priests are very friendly.
We attended mass here on Saturday night. The cathedral is stunningly beautiful! Even if you are not catholic you should stop in when the cathedral is open just to take a peak. The stained glass windows are gorgeous, especially with the sunlight shining through.
We were waiting to take a tour of the Capitol and took a stroll down to the river. The Cathedral was open and we were surprised at how beautiful it was. It reminded us of St Peter's in Rome.
I love old churches and synagogues. We wondered by on a Saturday and popped in. It was nice that it was open. What an amazing church. I am sorry that we didn't make it back for services. It was absolutely worth taking the time to sit and breath and take it in. You will not regret it.
