After visiting the state Capitol building I saw this site on Tripadviser. It's a beautiful church on historic State Street just down the block. It's free and only takes 15-20 minutes to view this beautiful church. Take a few shots then perhaps walk down the street to Amp Coffee Shop for a cup of joe.

Pass through the Holy Door of Mercy to enter this beautiful Cathedral on your way to pray or to attend Mass at noon on weekdays. Then, cross State Street, and take the elevator to the 12th floor of the Parking Deck for a panoramic view of the whole area. Beautiful!
