Harrisburg has a lot to offer. There is the Whitaker Center, the Harrisburg Symphony, lots of great restaurants, but you have a high fee to park. The only free day is Sunday. If Harrisburg wants to attract people on Saturday, parking should be free.
In the last few years Harrisburg has transformed itself from a city you want to leave as soon as you can to a place that could actually be a destination. The State Museum, the Civil War Museum, the river walk, City Island are only a few of the things to see. There are great restaurants, architectural views everywhere you turn,... 更多
Downtown Harrisburg is a beautiful place with an awesome state capital building, there are great spots to sit out and enjoy a drink or snack along Second and Third Street but don't stay out downtown too late, it can get sketchy. if you find yourself out downtown too late stay on Second Street and don't venture off.

An enjoyable fan fair of food and drink. From Irish pubs to micro breweries, and safe walking day or night. Plenty of parking garages at a very fair price. A must do for Harrisburg, Pa!!!

Town is very dirty, night life is being choked out of the city by crime. Not worth your time or safety. Oh and parking is miserable and expensive!
After spending several hours in the car, we enjoyed walked around the city and along the Susquehanna - we walked over the bridge and enjoyed it a lot.
