The Broad Street Market is a big place and very historic. Unfortunately, it's got a few things working against it and has seen its popularity locally rise and fall pretty consistently in the local, surrounding communities over the years. First, it's not in the best part of the city. Parking is available, both on and off street, but it's cramped... 更多
We know things get thin at markets in Dec. This one has a few restaurants and a bakery.....we don't like the ridiculous Voodoo Donut thing with all that stuff on them, but they had other rolls and things too.
The Broad Street Market is a great place with a bunch of produce, meat, and specialty vendors. A bakery at the one far end makes some pretty awesome donuts- including on with maple bacon, fruity pebbles covered donuts and other interesting combinations. Definitely stop in there and check it out when those are fresh!
We come here prob twice a month for lunch. We buy bacon, steaks, cheese, pasta ... today we spent $60, no complaints on food. Not cheap. My bigggg issue is with the old guys and assorted street ppl that use it as a meeting place and hangout. We were eating pierogies and behind us were 5 old guys just talking... 更多
I have to say my favorite place, soul burrito, is no longer at the market. Have had the louburger at the harrisburger and it's yummy! Asked for garlic aeoli instead of regular mayo...really added extra flavor. There are several types of "ethnic" food, baked goods, fresh produce and veggies, and fresh pasta. Very busy at lunch times. Nice place to... 更多
I love going to the broad street market. The food here is great at every stand I have eaten at. The stand that sells the fried fish is great. I had the seafood salad and a roast beef sandwich, I got them at the same stand in building 2.
I was visiting my cousin in midtown Harrisburg and on a Friday morning we walked over to the Broad Street Market. I'm from Los Angeles where we have so many 'ethnic' markets and farmers markets that expectations are high. This market was PRIMO ... I could have spend longer (we were there for 2 hours). We loaded up our coolers... 更多
I have been to this market at least ten times over the years. I live on Long Island so I do not have all these wonderful choices this market has to offer. First of all the wonderful smells when you walk in will make you hungry even if you just ate! Have had lunch here many times and have tried... 更多
The market has a nice variety of farm fresh meats, vegetables and fruits. There is a variety of booths offering take-out foods. There seemed to be too few tables, but one opened up right as we picked up our order of sandwiches. Parking is limited but we found a spot a couple of blocks away.
