Whether you are going for a leisurely walk, a fitness run, or nice bike ride, the Conewago Recreation Trail is the place for you. It is mostly flat, being an old rail bed, and is covered with compacted, crushed stone. If you forget your fitness tracker, there are distance markers every half mile starting from the Rt 230 access point.... 更多
My boyfriend and I went on the trail for an all day bike ride. We biked the entire 14 mile trail back and forth and it was exhausting but absolutely worth it. Such a beautiful scenery you get to enjoy as you travel many towns. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who loves the outdoors.
The Conewago is an old railroad right-of-way so it is very level with no steep climbs required. There is a nice pond at the Western end (PA-230) that can be hiked around in about 15 minutes. There are turtles to see, flowers and birds. Be sharp eyed! The trail is in segments that are long enough to be fun and... 更多
Love the trail, love seeing the horses an farms But its not safe weekdays for women alone; due to degenerates. Maybe if a safety team patrolled it certain hours of each day?
We walk this many times during the year. Last time was Sunday with our grandchildren. Trail can get crowded but everyone is polite and moves to the side for bikers. Great asset to the area.
My husband bike, run and walk on the trail all the time. There are so many different spots to start, so you can change up your view all the time. There are some minor hills which also switch it up. Just be careful at some of the road crossings, as cars are not always visible.

Bikes can come up quickly, and while most are super-pleasant folks, it seems the most serious of them are annoyed that walkers are using the trail too. I would say that it is unlikely you will encounter... 更多
This is a great trail. Crushed stone surface. Reaches into Lebanon County where it joins the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Very shady in summer. Great for a walk or run too.
We found ourselves in Elizabethtown for the summer and we used this trail all of the time! It is well maintained and it helped me stay in shape as I could bike to Lebanon and back while pulling my toddler along.
