The owners/curators have succeeded in creating a diverse and exciting collection depicting the local history, flora and fauna. Beautiful old building lovingly cared for inside and out. Check out the rose garden in the summer. Fun place to share with friends, kiddos or a solitary treat. I personally could stay for hours in the animal exhibits!
Have visited the museum dozens of times since the '60's. Well maintained and with a variety of exhibits - historical, wildlife, automotive, Native American, logging, etc. Something for everyone.
We have been to numerous pioneer museums, and this is our favorite so far. The saddle room and transportation room are really fun. The history of the washing machine room is really cool, too. There is a Victorian bedroom with a Victorian shoe display. Perhaps our favorite display was of a pioneer cabin with a bedroom loft that looked like... 更多
We had no expectations... Fair admission with an old building just packed with things to see. My husband, five year old and I all enjoyed it. Not to be missed! Pic is my daughter with her Lincoln log creation - we spent thirty minutes in this room while she was building away.
This county museum is full of little treasures to look at and think about. It makes you go awe. A nice little find just off of the highway.
This seemingly small museum has lots to offer about the history of Tillamook County. Three floors and about 20 exhibits include Native American Room, Pioneer Gallery, Pioneer Barn and Home, and a Military Room. Other exhibits include logging, dairy and transportation. But the outstanding area is the Upper Floor with the Alex Walker Natural History Room filled with native birds... 更多
Interesting place! Get a glimpse of the past for Tillamook County. The upstairs has a menagerie of stuffed birds and animals.
Another review suggested the the museum was a good rainy day activity. It was. A lot of history within the three floors. Used the audio set but was a little disappointed it didn't give more information. Lot of reading with the displays so didn't read every word but enough to appreciate the history. Takes you from early native American settlements... 更多
Great little place. Fun, friendly people. The kids learned so much about the pioneers of Tillamook County in a friendly way!
Me and my daughter went to this museum. My daughter got sad looking at the stuffed animals up stairs. Although we liked looking at the butterflies, birds nests, and bird eggs. I liked looking at the building as it was the court at one point.
