Great for families, kids and adults, lots to learn, see and experience about why Oregon is a pioneer and how the history was made FREE tours, helpful volunteers
I made a stop to the Oregon capital and found to one of the smallest if not the smallest capital in the country. It looks like a mausoleum from the outside. It was closed on the day I came to tour, but the grounds were open to explore. It was a hot day and the capital had splash pads for... 更多
We were looking for a park to walk our dog, since the Best Western only offered a 20x20 grassy spot. The receptionist recommended the State Capitol - and it did not disappoint! It is a good 30 minute place to see... 更多

Then we took the guided tour of the inside - I learned more about Oregon history in the first 20 minutes than I learned the... 更多

The tour lasted a half hour. Just long enough to get a good history but not so long that we tired of... 更多
If you have an interest in history, especially Oregon, please visit this xite. We are from Ohio, but history buffs and found this extremely interesting. DO go up to the Capital Rotunda to view the landscape of Salem.
