We were told that this area was a great place to see beautiful, Victorian style homes so we took the MAX and ventured downtown. Boy, were we ever mislead! Homeless people everywhere we looked. I enjoy parks. Parks are supposed to be safe, peaceful and allows people to rest and enjoy the scenery. But not South Park Blocks. They are far too many homeless people loitering around this park and it needs to be maintained.
The local farmer's market held on Saturday was a great way to spend the morning. The most distinctive ornaments are the Benson drinking fountains.
The South Park area is lovely. Lots of trees and benches for great strolls. The university is at one end. It has theatres and museums, plus cafes and beautiful homes. This is a real urban oasis, with Teddy overlooking the area.
