Yep - that's pretty much it. I mean, it was a more interesting basement than your average basement, so it's got that going for it I guess. NOTE: there is no evidence that the Shanghai tunnels were ever actually used to "Shanghai" anyone.
I had always heard about people getting "shanghaied", but this tour really shows you what happened and lets you get a better idea of what happened and why and how it was able to happen so easily. There is so much information shared, much of it from first hand accounts the organization has gathered. It also shows you more of... 更多
Portland known for many things one being it's motto of "Keep Portland Weird". Well, the Shanghai Tunnel Tour falls into suit. Although it has some interesting information, it didn't really live up to our expectations of the "paranormal activity" some in our group had hoped. More conspiracy theory driven. Interesting tour of Portland underground. Wish the tour had focused more on the history instead of the haunted aspect. The tour guide was very thorough. Sad that so many others dismissed the tour. It is part of the city's history and well worth exploring.
The net: this was epically stupid and is a waste of your time and money. == First, the tour was very poorly organized. We showed up at a (weird, empty, dark) bar in downtown Portland, where we were checked-in by less-than-polite people and told to wait. After waiting about 10 min., during which we watched the workers fret and argue... 更多
