Great food and service. We also learned about the fire several years back that almost destroyed their business. Lucky for the visitors and the locals they rebuilt because this would have been a huge loss to Nye Beach.
Those seeking a beautifully walkable sandy beach, sunsets, nearby aquarium, ocean exploration, fishing, and sight-seeing, abundant accommodations, interesting food and drink options, shops, art, and music should not miss Newport, OR, home to the second largest fishing fleet on the West Coast and especially lovely Nye Beach, a village-style neighborhood off Highway 101 in Newport. Bring the kids for beach... 更多
Nye Beach offers parking and easy access to a very long beach. If the tide is not at very high tide, there are miles of solid sand, without too much sideslope, to let you walk off the calories. This is not a great beach for sunbathing, as there is usually a brisk breeze, and if you find a place protected... 更多
We visited Nye Beach for the first time. It's such a cute area. I enjoyed the architecture of the buildings. There is a lot to do and see in the area. The wine shop had great wine at great prices! I would recommend visiting!
I am reviewing the Nye Beach beach front strip of shops. It's great. Close to the ocean, small so you can walk the whole thing multiple times and just enjoy going in and out of shops. The artist's coop offers some lovely pieces and they are locally made and one of a kind. There are nice little places to eat.... 更多
Newport has some very distinctive neighborhoods and, if you have limited time to visit, Nye Beach should be your first choice. This small enclave has a great selection of small, unique shops, restaurants and bars. It is much quieter that Bay Front (and way less tacky) and has a great beach very close by.
This was my first visit to the Historic Nye Beach area and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I walked through all the various shops, had lunch at The Chowder Bowl (best chowder ever) then spent hours sitting in the sand and absorbing the sun and the glorious sight and sound of the ocean. I didn't want to leave, but then I... 更多
Stayed at a VRBO here in Nye beach. So nice to get up and just walk to coffee, food and entertainment. The beach is smooth, flat and goes on and on. The "village" is adorable. Great shopping and food. Fun just to be lazy and wander around.
Visited late in the afternoon and easily found a parking spot. Beach was lovely clean and sandy. Plenty of coffee houses and restaurants close by so you can easily make a day of visiting.
