This place is way to spendy. This is La Grande, not Portland. Highly disappointed with their rates to soak in the tubs as well. It's like $20 per person for an hour soak!!! That is just crazy! I feel they would get more business if prices were lowered...not worth the time.
I especially like the bronze castings. The owners had to completely restore a hotel that was almost a total loss. Windows were broken. It's part of Oregons history that few people knew about even Oregonians like me. I'm going again in September.
The place is a labor of love and is being restored. Don't expect marble countertops and 2016 furnishings. That's not what this place is about. It's about a group of people trying to restore a piece of history. The place has its share of creaks, hot water faucets that dispense cold water and cracks and chips in the walls. That's... 更多
Hot Lake offers a very interesting historical tour of the old building and natural hot springs. What was once a hospital, sanitarium, and hotel there are many stories to be told. There is also a place to camp near by.
We finally received notice that our bronze order was ready to be picked up after a multi-year wait, so we visited Hot Lake Springs briefly to pick it up. One can read about our frustrating experience waiting for its completion in the earlier review. It truly is the artistic masterpiece we were hoping for when we placed our order. The... 更多
Its such a shame that the people who own and work at Hot Lake Springs seem to only care about money, and even then, are too lazy to stay open when they advertise they are open. Let me explain, it was a Sunday, we called to ask when their tours were. We were told in the morning and until early... 更多
It has been 3 years since we ordered a David Manuel bronze sculpture during a visit to Hot Lake Springs resort, where we saw the work in clay form in the studio while meeting with this very talented artist. Our bronze was “anticipated” to be completed in 6 months, as noted on our purchase agreement, which was secured with a... 更多
Was passing through the region when I found this popping up in a search for local attractions, decided to stop by. I'm glad I did. Walking through this place really takes you back to the turn of the century, when sanatoriums used to be common. There's a bit of a strange air to this place (and no, it's not the... 更多
This location only 3 hrs from Boise, is a must. Whether you are traveling through or want to spend the night. Four of us Grama friends went for the night. The tour was grand, so much history. The hot tubs, some inside, some outside, were very clean and most enjoyable. Our 4 room suite was very nice.(except for the roll-away!)... 更多
A fabulous historical piece of Eastern Oregon that has been restored to it's glory days. This property was a source of mystery to many locals for years. It is amazing to be able to walk the restored hallways and rooms of this hotel considering it almost went back to earth before the Manuel family re-sparked it back to life!
