This was a great place to camp. Close to the sand dunes. The only problem was lots of campers were leaving just before 1:00 check out and lining up at the dump station. Trailers were backed up onto the main road block ALL vehicles trying to leave the park. The dump station is located on a bend in the road... 更多
We live in the area but still choose to camp here with our family and grandkids. This is one of the most beautiful places you will find along the Oregon Coast. Located near Florence, Oregon, this park has it all; Old Growth forest including Redwoods, sand dunes, lakes with water activities and kayaks, etc. fishing and swimming. A local scuba... 更多
This park has some beautiful camp sites that feel like private rooms, surrounded by tall trees and huge rhododendron plants. The park includes several lakes and walking access to the dunes.
Taking a scenic drive, and checking out possible future camping sites...we came upon this unique find. Never had seen these yurt cabins before, but they looked very inviting! Campsites were both tightly fitted together along coast side, within trees were a little farther apart. Would be a short walk to the beach anywhere you camp there.
CAMPGROUNDS: Pros: Nice welcome center with very helpful volunteer hosts & activities for kids, RV spot available with choice of electric/water hookup ($28) or full, Spots with plenty of space & trees, campers with ATVs are segregated into one region ("H", I think), shortcuts to walk into the dunes from the F camping area. Cons: Easy to get lost biking... 更多
If you do not reserve on line you can only pay for one nite at a time. The volunteers cannot access computer, they just get the reservations handed to them. We stayed 4 nights and had to move our campsite 3 times because someone would reserve the one we were in for the next nite! Especially H loop which is... 更多
Such a relaxing place to stay. Surrounded by huge trees, you get the feeling you are camping in the middle of the forest. It's close to lakes and the dunes. Fun for the whole family.
My family has gone here often growing up. When I return with my family to Oregon on our bi-annual trips, we always visit Honeyman State Park. The campground is nice. The day use area is Fantastic! The real kicker is the sand dunes. You can get up on the top of the sand dune and run down it directly into... 更多
I have camped at Honeyman since I was a child. It has always been a great park. It has atv access to the dunes straight from H loop. Don't miss the big sand dunes or cleowox lake. Hike around the lake or one of the many trails. Close enough to spend 1 day in old town Florence or drive the... 更多
