You'll want to take along water, wear long pants, and (probably) use sunblock for this hike. We took the northern end of the loop trail from the trailhead after hearing from another hiker that the southern end had been taken over by dune. The north end winds by camping areas, crosses a road, and then heads to the beach through... 更多
You have never seen so much sand before. The beach seems to go on forever but that is what Oregon is known for. Great for picture taking.
We were out in fantastic sunny weather, but only took the short loop out to the dunes and a bit of a walk toward the beach. Stunning views of the sand and rain-water oases. Note that the trail to the right is the easier, and goes past a pretty wooded ponded. If your team is tired after playing on the... 更多

This is a relatively easy hike and was beautiful. The dunes are amazing and the sand is so fine it's like trudging through snow. The beach is wide open and tranquil. Not a lot of people on this trail until you get back to the trailhead. Worth the trek and plenty of parking.
We did the marked trail, fantastic experiens to walk in the sand that was like powder. I was comparing it to walking in snow. In both cases if you push to much with the front of the foot, you slide a half a step back. The best way to walk is puting down the whole foot, and taking small steps.... 更多
We really enjoyed this hike and what we saw. I met a hiker in the parking lot. That man gave some suggestions, which we followed and appreciated. Here is our suggestion(s) for this hike: Take 2 bottles of water each. If you can handle walking on moderately soft sand? Take the south leg of the trail and finish the Loop... 更多
