We walked a bit in the park. Nice to see a natural area in a city. Our mission was to see Pre's Rock 5/30/1975. Lots of peaceful woods and natural plants
Tall trees shelter the Rhododendrons which (usually) bloom April to July. The paths are easy to walk. It's a little hard to find the park but is a nice place to take a little break.
Went during April when the Rhododendrons were just starting to bloom - spectacular. We visited during the week and it was so peaceful.
I was here in late May and although some of the rhododendrons were past their prime, there were still plenty of blooms in this well-maintained park. I think this would be a wonderful place to visit anytime. There are lots of walking trails, green space and benches. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
The spring is a great time to view the rhododendron blooms, But that part of the park is off limits for pets. Other parts welcome pets and offer nice strolls through the woods or hikes up a few mild slopes.
We visited in late March and although things were quite wet from the rain, the aroma of the magnolia trees was to die for. The early rhododendrons were in bloom with more to follow. A delightful place for a short stop although not really anything to do there.
Hendricks Park is up the street from my house. I love taking my dog for walks through the park especially in May when all rhoddies are in bloom. Mother's Day is a popular day for people to drive through the park & enjoy its beauty. There are many trails to walk or run, a nature garden, a shelter for lunch,... 更多
Such beautiful rhododendrons and a nice walk through the gardens! The colors were magnificent and the drive up the hillside got you in the mood to see even more.
