Quite a view... and I imagine at times it's spectacular. No whales, or otters, for that matter. Sad to note litter (which we bagged) in the area. Craggy rock formations are interesting.
No facilities, so Boiler Bay is the preferred stop, if you've a deadline to meet, or weather is inclement... .
I really wasn't expecting to see whales on this Sept. visit to the Oregon Coast, but come to find out a good many Grey Whales hang around in the vicinity of DePoe Bay all year. The excursion trip we planned was cancelled due to greater than usual ocean swells, but we were able to view a good many of them...
