Latourell Falls was a simple and quick drive once we left the more famous Multnomah Falls as we drove on the Historic Columbia River Highway heading West. It was a beautifal site to behold with a small parking lot adjacent to it for visitors to safely park and walk to see this waterfall.
On the drive along the scenic byway you'll find several waterfalls along the way. Latourell is quite beautiful and is only short walk from the parking lot.
Enjoy a stop here on your journey along the Columbia River Gorge Old Scenic Highway. Parking can be tough if you go in the height of the season, so maybe try weekdays.
You only have to hike 250 feet from the parking area to be able to enjoy this wonderful waterfall. It is located along old Highway 30, very close to where you turn off to get to the amazing Vista House and Crown Point Scenic Corridor.
This was a great hike with multiple falls to see. It is a loop trail if you choose to follow it, but you can go back out the way you came. It was fun to be at the top of falls and also at the bottom. We saw several families with kids hiking to the falls so it's a great... 更多
One of the forgotten falls but still worth checking out. Now the flow depends on the rain levels so it maybe very powerful or a weaker stream. I love listening to the sound and when we were there it was almost private with the exception of a few folks
