Had a really good time here. There is a short, free tour that gives you a nice overview of the locks/fish ladder/power plants and their history and a look inside powerhouse to see the turbines. The fish ladder itself was great with info panels and the glass windows where you can sit and watch the fish go by. A good... 更多
There is a lot to see here. We started with the locks. Although there weren't any boats there, my kids were amazes at the different water levels. Next we went to the dam and saw how the water was being let out. They also had a turbine on display showing hoe the get generate electricity. The highlight was the fish... 更多
Had not seen a dam in operation - with explanation of its functioning - since visiting the Hoover Dam in 1976 ... the Bonneville Dam is a must. Corps of Engineers ranger talk and walk was fascinating, and seeing the river's fish life make their way "up river" was more than interesting. Exhibits, talks and films are all very informative... 更多
A great look at a wonder of engineering. This was quite a feat of construction in the days is was built. The ladder system for migrating fish was very interesting to behold. It's not quite the same as Hoover Dam, but it's certainly worth the stop.
Dam was amazing, too bad we missed the power plant tour. They only conduct the tour at 11:00' 1:00 and 3:00. We saw the fish ladder, great view of the dam from the balcony, you can see the various locks while driving to the visitor center. We were so glad we decided to stop
If you are travelling in the area, please stop in and visit the dam. A great place to see the dam itself, as well as the fish ladder viewing area. We visited a few weeks ago, in June, and you wouldn't believe the volumes of shad and salmon that were passing through. Good to see strong numbers of fish in... 更多
This a great stop in Oregon! The dam is most always releasing water so the constant must is always in the air. My family took particular interest in the fish ladder built to keep fish out of the turbines and provide safe passage into the lake. At the visitors center you can view the fish traveling the current (very cool)... 更多
