I rented one of the cabins on the camp ground and stayed there for two nights with my kids while we explored the redwoods and the nearby beaches during the days. The cabins are in great shape and directly face the river. It's only a short walk to the shower and bathroom faciliites. Both the cabins and the faciliites were... 更多
One of my favorite trips camping was here at loeb park. It was the nicest water, clean ,not really cold , see 20 ft to the bottom. Very nice place to visit anytime really.
As native Oregonians, this was our first visit to Alfred A Loeb State Park. What a gem .. . tucked away on the Chetco River, about eight miles inland from Brookings on the Southern Oregon Coast. We were pleasantly surprised at this very nice, clean park located in a myrtlewood grove. We ended up staying five nights in our motorhome.... 更多
After you pull into the park keep going straight and just before the road drops down to the river there is parking on the left. In front of the parking area is a picnic area that ends in a well developed trail that meanders along the river. There are some sections that seem like rainforest, are thick with moss and... 更多
Nice place to have a picnic. On the Chetco River and had a nice trail to walk. Enjoyed watching the families swimming and floating down the river. At one spot they had a rope tied to a tree they would swing off of into the water and would tube and kayak down the river. Nice camping facilities with fire Pitts... 更多
This is an excellent place to enjoy spending some time in an Oregon myrtle wood forest. It's often warm & sunny when the weather on the coast is cool. It's a great place to swim in the summer, and there are nice hiking trails. If you're into camping, you better get there earl to get a spot!
Stayed for just one night in the campground in a tent and had a wonderful time. My wife and I wound up in camp site 41, which is right next to the river but also secluded back behind the cabins. It was very quiet, under some gorgeous Myrtlewood trees, and not too far from the bathrooms either. The rest of... 更多
Picnicking, hiking, sitting in the sun, swimming, camping, tubing, skipping rocks, or just watching the river go by. You can do it all here. Easy access to the river (you can drive out on the river bed), safe for little kids to swim and tube. Easy to walk up or down the river for quite a distance, plus there's 2... 更多
Took a nice 3/4 mile trail walk from Loeb to the Redwood Trail and then took the 1 mile Redwood Trail loop and returned ready for a brisk dip in the Chetco river. Warning: while trail walk is relatively level, Redwood Trail is very steep. Good shows required.
We had a picnic here with a variety of ages. Older ones as well as younger ones. All were able to access this area with ease. Picnic tables are plentiful and all nestled in and around trees providing needed shade. It was quiet but close to the river and hiking spots. There were even some grassy areas by the picnic... 更多
