We visit oak openings regularly for family bike rides. The trails are well marked and varied. There is also a really long trail where the railroad used to travel..now a nicely paved throughway. We prefer traveling through the treed areas and around the lake. Nice in summer, beautiful in the fall. Not only a "must see" but a "must experience"... 更多
Many hiking trails, lakes, and a big forest with several habitats available to wander in or ride your bike through. There are also separate bridal paths. You can rent a few overnight places or a shelter for parties. Lots of wildlife to view. Photo ops abound. Signage along in several areas tell you about this region.
This park is filled with trails varying in length from one mile to a 17 mile one, and even a piece of the North Country National Scenic Trail. I have been often and always enjoy the natural beauty.

I'm normally rollerblading through on the wabash cannonball trail, but have also been running on some of the trails. The trails aren't all as clearly marked as they could be, but the area isn't big enough to get lost for too long!
This is a nice park, you can walk the trails, fish, have a cook out get married or have a graduation party there. Must wear bug spray, the mosquito will eat you alive. They also have play grounds for the kids
The best spot is the pond in the center of the park. An easy walk, lots of nature. The park has a nice variety of length of trails so a good place for any level of stamina.
