In an attempt to psych ourselves up for an upcoming trip to Ireland, we decided to visit Loveland Castle. First of all, the castle itself is pretty cool, and the history behind it is very interesting. Upon arrival, you're greeted by a sign that says that roaming the grounds is not free, and that you have to come inside the... 更多
Our trip to the castle was primarily to take some senior pics of my daughter and then to explore. The castle is small and not a whole lot to see inside, but what we could see was interesting. We were kind of disappointed that we could not go out onto the roof, but it's understandable why. It really is a... 更多
Loveland Castle is just a very cool place to visit. Its small, but located on nice property next to the Little Miami River. It was inexpensive when I last went ( some time ago ) but was very interesting exploring. Great place to take visiting family members when they come.
An interesting place to see. I would recommend it for family's with children somewhere 7 to 14 years old that have an interest in castles and knights. Not expensive in today's options for your entertainment money. Google maps sent us right to it. there is only one road in and out, its narrow and its has 2 steep twisting curves... 更多
It took us forever to get there only to turn around after we saw the outside. The condition of the grounds outside did not make us want to spend $$ on admission to be further disappointed.
I live near this attraction, but had never gone. So I finally checked it out and was glad that I did. The history and talk by the guide were very interesting. The gardens were very nice and it is a pleasant place to spend an hour.
They had me at "castle"! Definitely a must see for me with a healthy interest in English history. A man (Harry Andrews) with a plan built this castle (also known as Château Laroche) by himself, with European Medieval castles in mind. It even has a dragon & a dungeon and is reported to be haunted by Harry Andrews, himself! The... 更多
This unique find is one amazing feet of engineering. Building a castle out of river stone and milk carton bricks all by hand at the ripe old age of 90 is a marvel. The collection of armor is a surprising find. The castle is built like it would have been built in the 1500s so is NOT accessible. You can... 更多
I Googled places to visit around Cincinnati and found a list of unusual places. This was one on the list so we decided to stop by. It's amazing that a single man can devote his entire life to hand building a castle with homemade bricks and rocks carried from the river in 5 gallon buckets. This is not a big... 更多
