Great place if you're interested in geology / fossils. Good interpretive sign in the car park explaining the geological time scale and history of the area.
We live close by this area, so when I need a rock-beach fix, its easy to dash down. The cliffs are impressive and if you are there at low tide you can walk a good way up the beach to the west. The fossils in the cliff face are fascinating and if you like rocks, you can fossick about for... 更多
A must see driving along the northern Tasmanian coast especially for fossil enthusiasts. Very close to the town of Wynyard.
Great and easy drive through the Wynyard neighbourhood to reach this lovely beach. A beautiful sunny afternoon saw the waves gently rolling in. Its not an idyllic beach, in the sense of beautiful sand, etc, but its the rock formations, and the surrounding cliffs that make the area interesting. Im not particuarlky sure about being able to disseminate a shell... 更多

We even saw a very primitive shell, complete, jutting from one of the boulders. Only takes a few minutes to walk to the... 更多
Even though it was a bit overcast I got some awesome photos of table cape shrouded in the sea mist and some great photos of the bluff it's self. Such a peaceful and serene beach, easy to loose yourself .
