its a decent walk in so be prepared and have water with you. Its worth it if the waves are up! No swell when I went but it was still awesome to check it out. I recommend you goggle some videos when the waves are pumping so you can get a feel for it.
This place is incredible - beautiful and soooo worth it! We pulled into the carpark, there is a 'sauna' and 'toilet' - seeing is believing! Very rustic and creative! The walk in through the forest (national park) took about an hour (slowly), but the view was so worth it - beautiful native foliage, tree stumps so green and 0mossy, but... 更多
The walk to the cliff tops is wonderful, if a little rough in places. The view over the cliffs has to be seen to be believed at nearly 300m vertical into the Southern Ocean. The walk down to the rock platform is highly recommended - specially if the surf is on. Shippies as it is known has to be one... 更多

Us over 60s can't be expected to hike as we use to. We got to the lookout and beyond then the track gets very dangerous least for us, with a steep decline before going on. It looked like you could cross where the decline was but even that was dangerous. Having arguments with gravity before I dug my heels in... 更多
A short side trip whilst doing the Cape Rauol walk. A fair bit harder if you elect to go right down to the beach and not just to the cliff top. Was particularly spectacular in May when we did it the first time. A huge break was occurring and big wave riders from across the globe had come to try... 更多
Walking through the Tasman National Park to reach Ship Stern Bluff presents it's own challenges and rewards, with a steep incline in some areas, and abundant bird life in others. The 'hike' from the car park took a little over 30 minutes to reach the lookout, but the view from there was spectacular.
