Inside is the original hall where Sir Henry Parkes delivered his famous speech. Best remembered for his fiery and impassioned support for the Federation of Australian Colonies, Sir Henry Parkes took his Federation call to the people at the Tenterfield School of Arts on 24 October 1889. I knew nothing about Sir Henry Parkes but came out amazed at his... 更多
Located in the main street, this a well presented and worthwhile summary of Australian Federation and political issues surrounding it. Plenty of information regarding Sir Henry Parkes, his early life and his role as The Father of Federation! Also apart from the memorabilia, also a wall with photographic portraits and accompanying personal and political history of every Australian Prime Minister!!... 更多
The Tenterfield School of the Arts is well worth a look if you're in town. There's lots to see on Henry Parkes and Federation. However, they're recently added Breaker Morant artefacts is what is most interesting; they include the 'dog tag' worn by the Breaker when he was shot. The Cafe is a great place to have lunch as well!
The School of Arts is a must for any visitor to Tenterfield. The staff are fabulous as well. We especially enjoyed being the first to see the latest exhibit of the Breaker Morant finds.

We were very impressed with the memorabilia on display as well as the interactivity and beautiful presentation of various galleries. There is also a movie theater... 更多

We were very impressed with the history of Federation and being able to hear Sir Henry Parks Oration.... 更多
