There were quite a few visitors on our midweek March visit but the house, gardens and estate did not feel crowded. The tea room has opened indoors since our last visit and sells a modest range of food including soup, rolls, scones, cakes(including gf) and hot and cold drinks. We were welcomed into the house by a knowledgeable guide who... 更多
This Tudor Manor house is well worth visiting if in the area. We visited on a damp cold day and to our surprise there was a lovely warm open fire in the hall of the house. The NT guides were all friendly and informative and as with most of the NT properties photography is allowed so long as no flash... 更多
Beautiful house, well worth visiting extremely informative and friendly guides. Lovely atmosphere and cosy house for one so very old. Rainy day so will be back to walk in the gardens. Badly planned disabled parking. Far too far from the house. Tearoom was very disappointing would definitely not go there again. Very limited choice and not fresh breads and scones.... 更多

I last wrote a not altogether favourable review about Lytes Cary Manor two years ago, and was persuaded by... 更多
I go here quite often, as live only a mile away. We take our visitors here, and without doubt the most beautiful medieval manor house we or they have ever been.
I would say straight away "allow plenty of time" We were so enchanted by the house we didn't have time to visit the gardens properly. It is wonderful to think that the west wing is available as a holiday rental - that certainly sent us dreaming. The house feels very well loved and all the guides are obviously thrilled to... 更多
Beautiful little NT property in lovely grounds and gardens. Visiting so close to Hallowe'en it might have been lost in cobwebs, witches hats and pumpkins like some properties nearby, but no, it wasn't and it was all the better for that as you could see what you were there for. Nice little cafe and shop, and some friendly, informative guides... 更多
Interesting gardens, with twelve apostle yew trees in rows. Some very uneven paths, with limited disabled access. Roaring fire in the downstairs hall, helps with the cold. Steep stairs up to rooms on the second floor. Grounds nice for a wander, but limited display at the end of the season.
