The Motts military Museum is one of the most unique places in Columbus. It is run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about preserving world history especially associated with all of the wars dating back from World War I. The museum is full of memorabilia from people who fought in the war their uniforms tanks planes helicopters weapons... 更多
My husband and I had not heard of this museum until we conducted a research of museums in the Ohio area. Come to find out, this museum is about 20 minutes from where we live. This museum is packed full of military history, from WWI, Civil War, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq....and even a few items from NASA and 9/11.... 更多
I found this museum by accident while looking on groupon for discounted ideas of things to do while visiting family in Ohio. My family & I are WWII reenactors & always stop at different museums. My husband & I very much enjoyed looking at the large collection Mr Motts has on display. We will definitely return on our next visit... 更多
My son and I had only a short amount of time to visit this museum. We both have interest in military stuff, and were surprised and pleased to see all that Mott's has. ranging from early American to Iraq, 9/11 and space shuttle, they have it. Only issue is that many items are labeled with index cards and they are... 更多
The founder of the museum has a passion for preserving military history and has expanded to space and 911. This is a do not miss if your are near Columbus "Groveport" Ohio. A real treat is having Warren Motts himself conduct the optional tour. If you are a vet or are interested in this type of history don't miss it.... 更多
Every military veteran, their family members, their friends, each school, everyone should visit this museum. It is beyond what we expected to see and learn. We lucked out and visited on a day when a group of Navy Sea Cadets were on a tour with Mr. Motts and we were invited to join in. We left the group at times... 更多
Went to see the items from 9-11. They are is a barn in the back. Huge fire engine and police vehicles. They are trying to raise money for a 9-11 exhibit. They have slabs of marble from the twin towers and the Pentagon. The rest of the museum is very nice. Almost too much stuff.
We combined this visit with the Ohio Glass Museum and really could have used another hour or so here. There are lots of displays covering revolution up to present with plenty of artifacts and great information about what it is and where it came from. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Admission is very reasonable based on all there is... 更多
On Saturday, May 23, 2015 we went to Mott's Military Museum in Groveport, Ohio. This was for the dedication of a new wing. Originally started in Warren and Daisy Mott's basement with Civil War artifacts, it is now nearly outgrowing the present 4 acre site as more people contribute items. This entails items from The Spanish-American War, World War I,... 更多
Very interesting collection of items from all of the U.S. Wars. Almost too many items to comprehend. It could benefit from somewhat better organization and labeling, but it was well worth our time. We are military history buffs and hence not easily impresses, but this place is well worth visiting.
