The town of Edwinstone is a quaint, Robin Hood obsessed place but does have lots of charm. The sausages at the local butchers are very tasty. Lots of festivals going on in the summer months and national cycle routes nearby. Well worth a visit

This is a lovely village with lots to see. There are several eating places with a lovely cake shop/ cafe. Some lovely shops on the high street. Nice walk along the river. A couple of children's playgrounds. A short walk from the high street to the fair ground and craft centre. And a 20min walk to the forest.
Come here quite a lot to go to the Sherwood Forest visitor centre one minute drive up the road.
Cheap all day eats at the Dukeries Pub and Hotel two minutes up the road to Rufford.
