Probably one of the most interesting gardens that I have visited. Well planned with plenty of secluded niches where you can rest a while and soak up the atmosphere. Excellent catering facilities, with a wide and varied selection of snacks and meals. I could have just sat and watched the fountains for hours. A little disappointed with the Plant Sales,... 更多
This is my third visit, a present for my birthday from my lovely sons and their equally lovely wives. It was the one place I wanted to go more than any other. I was not disappointed. I spent over six hours enjoying what is a truly magnificent experience. it goes beyond being a garden. The atmosphere is spiritual with such... 更多
We had an excellent day. The weather was nice and the cherry tree walk was very good as the pink blossom was in abundance. We enjoyed the tour of the poison garden with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide called Jo. We finished off with afternoon tea in the pavilion restaurant which was excellent. The staff set a table up... 更多
What a great place to visit....We spent half a day in the Gardens which were a great deal better than the Castle...Extremely well maintained...We visited in May and it was lacking color with the cold and poor English weather....But never the less a great visit.
Hands down the best formal garden I've ever visited. Wonderful water features, loads to do for small children, including ride-on tractors at the main fountain, great variety of areas, and a really interesting tour in the Poison Garden. Only planned on going for a couple of hours but we stayed most of the day. Highly recommended, particularly on a sunny... 更多
Spent half a day here with my Family - part of my 60th Birthday present! Had a super time - obviously the cascade was the starring item! Lovely to stand and wonder at the work that would have gone into it. Oriental garden was very pretty and relaxing, all of the different water elements were lovely. Lunch on the terrace... 更多
We did not enjoy this garden. It lacks colour at this season and the overall effect is stiff and contrived. The cherry trees were all the same variety so the blossom was over. If more varieties had been used the blossom season could be extended. Everything was closely monitored and clipped. Lots of bare earth in the walled garden with... 更多
A beautiful and well laid out garden with various sections to see, all of which are fully accessible by my husband on his electric buggy - including the Treehouse restaurant. The poison Garden talks are interesting, the grand cascade and the changing fountains are picturesque, the cherry orchard walk was really pretty and the water sculptures were fascinating (my favourite... 更多
There were three of us visiting the garden, one of whom was not a gardener. A lovely spot in a lovely town. The sun shone whilst we sat on the café patio which has a spectacular view of the fountains. There was an unexpected floorshow when a couple of mallard ducks who previously happy taking lunch with the visitors treated... 更多
Enjoyed our afternoon here but it was not a gardeners' garden. The poison garden tour was shorter than I would have liked. Families were obviously enjoying themselves, with the children playing in the water features. The cherry orchard was beautiful as it was in full bloom.
Tea on the terrace with a fantastic view of the cascade directly in front of you. What could be better. Take time to watch as the cascade changes with fountains and water jets. The serpent garden with its water features is educational - again take time to watch the main one as it needs to refill before it starts its... 更多
