The Castle is very interesting and photogenic, wee shop had some nice goods too, tucked away in the centre of Richmond, lots of wee lanes etc to explore
We visit many old castles, abbeys and priories but occasionally a place will surprise us. Richmond Castle is one such place. If you are fit enough to climb the steps of the Main Tower. you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the rest of the castle, plus the town and surrounding countryside. As well as being beautiful and... 更多
Luckily we had good weather, bit windy but no rain as I cannot imagine out visit would be so pleasant. Richmond castle is in ruin but still is nice place to visit especially due to great views and you can have a small picnic on the grass, kids can run around - but be careful as there is one place... 更多
You can easily get around this castle in an hour, we dawdled and did it in an hour and half. The town centre has free parking for 2 hours with a disc, which we got from a local shop because I forgot to pick it up from the B&B, which is more than enough time for getting around the castle.... 更多

Very nice to visit with family, the castle is situated in the centre of the lovely town of Richmond; with different car park nearby. We visited with two small children who loved running around, up and down the towers, without any real danger. The shop offers a variety of nice present both for children and adults. Staff very useful and... 更多
Magnificent above the town of Richmond. Very close to the market square. Built after the Norman conquest and in use by the army in first and Second World War. Beautiful views over the town and river. English heritage property. There is a shop but no coffee shop.

We were surprised at the lack of people enjoying the lovely town and castle which offer something for everyone. For families there are magical places to picnic and allow children to splash happily in the shallows of the... 更多
