Lovely views, nice walk and a mystical well that tells you a horrific truth about a woman who had many predictions. The well is amazing it turns things into stone there is also a museum that displays things that celebrity's have donated which have turned to stone.
A good place for the whole family if you bring a picnic and take your time ambling around. Steps could be an issue for the less mobile. Wear walking shoes. For the nerdy among you - join the club - you can see what happens if you let wild garlic have free range. Permissible to pick some I wonder?
When I was 9 yrs old I visited Old Mother Shipton's Cave and was very fascinated from what i saw. Pair on trainers from Lucy Benjamin, something from Racelle from Corrie and a Blue Peter scarf. Good walk though.
The weather helped as it was beautifully warm and sunny which meant we could walk slowly and take in the well kept grounds, wood carvings, play area and enjoy the easter trail and quiz we were given and take in the atmosphere. The staff were all really smiley and helpful, even the poor guy dressed as a grumpy blue Easter... 更多
I visited this 'attraction' with my 4 yr old son and wife in the Easter holidays and can honestly say that it is a bit of a rip off. Entry including parking was £18 and it is nothing more than a glorified 40 minute walk along a river. There is very little historical information to get your teeth into, an... 更多
